My this was an interesting project - I was picking up pine cones for the better part of an hour, just not a lot of these pine cones laying around in the Springtime although it makes for an interesting compilation, I like the variation in the color saturation and the difference in the color when it is placed vertical as apposed to the ones laying flat. Going though this gives me a great appreciation for what Andy Goldsworthy is able to do with nature as his palette

After careful
consideration I am of the position that Monet used a broad palate for most of
the pictures he has a definite color scheme in all the paintings
I don’t
necessary think Monet was trying to evoke emotion when he was painting, I
believe all he was doing was showing light source and changes that happen at different
times of the day
In all the
pictures Monet used the largest buildings as Silhouette of the actual buildings
and it clearly shows that Monet had a great understanding of color and how to
use color to show different times of the day.
It clearly
shows me an aspiring painter that I can use the same picture over and over
applying different hues to capture changing light and shadow sources and keep
my palate full of different colors.
